Detox

Detox is the first step in the recovery process.

The number of days required for detox depends on the needs of each individual. Traditionally, detox lasts from 5 to 10 days. We provide a non-medical detox but we do allow medications prescribed by a physician to be taken to ease the process. Each participant is taken to see a physician to get medically cleared and receive medication to aid in a safe detox. We work closely with a local physician and the Veterans Administration.

  • Non-medical detox does allow detox medications to be taken
  • 5-10 day detox stay in our home
  • Professionally prepared meals and a fully stocked refrigerator
  • Fully qualified staff 24 hours a day and 7 days a week

As part of our detox we have on-site AA and NA meetings that our participants attend. Unlike most detox centers we do not have a set time when participants should go to bed. Detoxing from drugs and alcohol is tough and we know it. We've been through it! We allow our participants to watch television until they are tired and we do not have a set time that they wake up outside of receiving their medication. At no time may a participant leave the grounds for any reason without staff. We do offer a back yard and meeting area that they are allowed to go to freely. Visitation to our facility prior to admission is encouraged.

A Footnote From Dave

The military doesn't send just one individual to win a battle; the military sends troops. That is the way we need to fight addiction. Collectively, as a group, pulling together, we can win. United we stand; individually we fall.
